This budget concerns the annual expenses of Anna Home. It has been approved by the board of the Mongolian NGO All for Children. The money will, for the main part, be provided by the Dutch foundation All for Children, but increasingly also by the Mongolian NGO. The board of the Dutch foundation has no objections against the budget 2009.

Some explanations:

  • General: One of the reasons the budget for 2009 is higher than for 2008 is inflation. The inflation in Mongolia in 2008 has been between15% and 20%.
  • Exchange rate: In the second half of 2008 the rate of the Tugrik fluctuated enormously. For 2009, just as we did last year, we use an exchange rate of €1 = 1600 ₮
  • Salaries: Salaries are somewhat increased to bring them more in accordance with the difficulties of the tasks. They still are very modest. The director will earn 250.000 ₮ per month in 2009, which is around € 160. The three ladies who take care of the children and the two guards will earn less. This year the budget includes social insurances and substitute staff to cover for vacations.
  • Clothing: The budget of 2008 only permitted the purchase of low quality clothing that soon wears out. In 2009 this will change which increases the costs. We expect that these costs will have to be increased again in 2010 to around 6.000.000₮.
  • Investments: in 2008 this was called "depreciation of investments" and it is meant for purchases of items that will last a year or longer.
  • In 2008 electricity was booked under "others", in 2009 it has been moved to "utilities".
