Transitional home

In October of 2009 two boys left Anna Home. They are 18 years old and they now study at the Technical School in Choibalsan. We help them with the transition from life as a child in Anna Home to life beyond Anna Home as adults. They now live in a ger on a piece of land (hashaa), where they will be able to stay for another three years. This is a form of assisted living, available for all children of Anna Home who will become 18 years old. In January 2010 two more boys will follow.
After two years in technical school we will help them finding a job. Boldsaikhan, the director of Anna Home will provide the assistance together with Anna Home's three teachers.

Children who visit the technical school receive a small allowance from the local government. Part of this they contribute for their life in the transition home, part of this they save for the future in which they will have to take care for themselves.
